Summary
DEMAKE86 or the Legally Distinct Action Adventure Platforming Game set on a METEOROID is a tiny Metroidvania, in homage to an original from August 6th, 1986. This game is a labor of love and is created with absolutely no AI.
The METEOROID is only 8^6 pixels: 8x8 pixels in a tile, 8x8 tiles in a room, 8x8 rooms in the entire map! It's a tiny, densely packed, and unforgiving labyrinth! Speedrunners welcome - can you beat it in 86 seconds?
No saving, no refills! Tread carefully and make your missiles count.
Features include beam stacking, quick morph, useless green-energy - green energy isn't even tracked! - Sequence breaks! Diagonal aiming!
Everything is legally distinct! Morph ball, what? It's the tuck-ball. Energy-tank who? That's an E-vial. Planet Zebes? This is a meteoroid orbiting Planet Zenith, silly!
