Kirby Super Star, released as Kirby's Fun Pak in PAL regions, is a platforming video game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. The game was advertised as featuring eight games: seven short subsections with the same basic gameplay, and two minigames. Kirby Super Star sees players take on the role of Kirby, who can float around the screen, inhale blocks and enemies and spit them out. By swallowing certain enemies after inhaling them, Kirby can copy their abilities and use them as his own, becoming able to perform a wide range of attacks. A unique feature of the game is the addition of helpers. When Kirby is in possession of an ability, he can choose to transform it into a helper character which can be controlled by a second player or the computer AI.

Life on Mars: Genesis is a "MetroidVania", (a mix between Metroid and Castlevania - Symphony of the night) where you can freely explore the map, acquire new skills (double jump, run...) that will help you explore even more areas of the map, acquire and upgrade new weapons (grenade launcher, flamethrower), increase the capacity of your shield (health) and your power generator (stamina), etc.

In the game, a kingdom is being threatened by monsters, and the queen charges her bravest knight with the task of retrieving the "Mamono Slayer," a legendary sword so powerful it had to be sealed away in a dungeon. The player must find the sword and use it to defeat the monsters before it's too late. The game makes use of bump combat where you have to maneuver your sword to hit enemies before they hit your body.

The Overseer, a being who watches over the souls of the land. After gifting life to yet another lost spirit, it sets out into the world. What is his will? What does he wish to change in this land? What does this mean to the spirit and their kin?
